You're Sew Special! Vintage Mothers Day Card

Hello!

I've just finished my 3rd Mothers Day card!

My mum has always loved sewing but doesn't have the time these days :-(
She says she quite likes vintage at the moment and I had this lovely vintage sewing stamp set in my stash I'd never used!




I used:

Sew Pretty Stamp Set - C&P Mag freebie (old)
"Best Mum" tag stamp - another old mag freebie
Coloured with Promarkers
Doodled faux stitching with Letracet fine liners

Flowers, pearl stamens - WOC
Margaret Flower Lace, Memo pin - Ribbon Girl

Tape Measure Washi Tape, Scissors Charm - old mag freebies
Papers, heart pearls, ribbon, small daisies - from stash

Inked all the edges to give it a vintage feel.
I love the cute Scissors charm!





I really like this one! Think Mum will too! I think I'll give this one from me and let the boys give her the Spring Card and Owl Card

    This is fab Lucy, the elements are so perfect and the little scissors are "charm"ing!! (couldn't resist...sorry!!). Love the Washi tape too, a great finishing touch xx

    This is "sew" gorgeous, Lucy - I had to say that!! I love that image and the measuring tape, and the colour combo works so well. I used to sew a lot too - I made my daughter's wedding dress - but now I'd much rather make cards. Your Mum is going to love all 3 of her Mother's Day cards - and, yes - I would give her this one from you.

    Wow Lucy - what a fabulous card! I certainly would keep this one to give to your Mum from you!! It's absolutely gorgeous with so many lovely vintage elements.

    And of course you can link into the Playground - I've always said that I'm not overly worried about a little bit of backlinking!

    Lucy, this is a card dear to my heart. I love sewing machines & sewing themes. You've done a super job on that faux stitching, and I really love the vintage feel of your so-pretty Mama's card. All the sewing charms added so much to this vintage feel too. My own Mom was an avid sewer, so that could be why I love the sewing machine motifs. I truly do like this card...Way to go! TFS & oh yes, congrats on your Snippets Playground Highlight.

Mermaid Shaker Card (LOTV)

Hi Everyone! Been a rough couple of weeks health wise! Still struggling quite a bit and it's my Birthday tomorrow! Woohoo!! I managed to very slowly make my first ever shaker card this week! Mum let me have some of my birthday papers and flowers a week early to cheer me up :-) I used: LOTV little Mermaid 2 Stamp and Romance & Roses Papers (my new fave!!) Bonnets & Bowties Solids Paper (shaker frame and backing paper) Coloured with Promarkers & flexmarkers Liquid pearls on the image  WOC Apple Blossoms and Aqua roses Ribbon Girl - Aqua ribbon , ' Anne' lace & Ivory twine Woodware grass punch Hobbycraft 2mm & 3mm pearl gems The Works - Clear & Pearl beads Charm, sentiment stamp, Aqua heart sparkler from stash I did have a bit of a mishap with super glue on the acetate and had to cut it out and re do it lol A baby wipe on the acetate stops it from being static and beads or glitter sticking ...

CAS Thank You Card (LOTV Milly Stamp)

Good Morning! Hope you're having a good week! I've had a really rough few days with my illness, struggling quite badly at the mo but trying to keep doing a bit of Cardmaking to keep my mind off it! Oh and it's 1 month today til my Birthday yippee! I've asked for lots of crafty bits :-) Anyways, onto todays card! I've tried another Clean & Simple card today but done it slightly different! I've made it really fun and young by cutting the letters out free hand and placing them not quite straight and adding a cute wiggly faux stitching border! The Stamp is Milly just for you by LOTV Papers - Bonnets and Bowties LOTV  Coloured stamp with Promarkers and used a Letracet Fine line Drawing pen for the border I also added a tiny bit of Glitz it glitter glue on the edge of the butterfly's wings It may look very simple but took me quite a while lol I spent longer on the colouring too Happy Crafting everyon...
