Patchwork Owl With Love
Hello!
Here's a card I made for my Mum. It's a bit of a sorry card and to tell her how much I apreciate all she does. We are going through a bit of stress at the moment to do with my illness and I've been a bit snappy and rude. So I decided to make her a card using her favourite colours and animal, and got my brother to get me a box of Lindt Chocolates (her favourite) to go with it
The cute stamp was a mag freebie
Coloured with Promarkers
Dovecraft Back to Basics Christmas Papers
Brown Seam Binding and twine - Ribbon Girl
Made With Love Charm - Hobbycraft
WOC Flowers
Woodware butterfly punch
The ribbon is a bit wonky lol but I work in a dark room with fuzzy vision so you must forgive me
:-P
I gave it to her earlier and she came in tearful and we both cried and I just about managed a small hug with her! :'-)

ReplyDeleteOh my dear sweet girl. Lucy, that was so thoughtful - and your Mum will have really appreciated it for sure. If your Mum reads your blog, she will know and fully understand what I'm going to say. We hurt others that we love when we hurt in ourselves. Keep up the hugs my lovely girl - and give one to your Mum from me - and also to you of course!
ReplyDeleteNow, did you use snippets here? If so, come to the Playground from midnight and we'll look after you. Our Sam is hobbling like a wounded soldier, I've been icky but am fighting back, Sue (Ollie's Mam) is caring for her hubby who needs a heart transplant, Mrs A is as always a pain in the rear end (but we do so love her). Sarn is 'stay cool I'm the Prefect here - nothing changes! :)
Much love

Aww Lucy :-( Poor you, I'm sending the biggest hug your way. I bet your mum really loved the card and the sentiment behind it. It's hard being tired and in pain all the time and I'm sure your loved ones understand. The card is beautiful and I really love the pine cone paper. I love pine cones - my daughter and I collect them whenever we go to the park - bet she'd love this paper too! Hope things improve soon. Hugs, Jayne

Oh Lucy this is such a lovely card you made and gave to your Mum. Sorry to hear you have been struggling with your illness. I know it must get you down but your card will have shown her how much she is really appreciated. Thankyou for fluttering by #18. It never fails to amaze me how much detail you put into your cards. Hugs Mrs A.
