Reindeer Christmas Card

Hello
Hope you're all well! Been a whole week since I posted! Feeling a tiny bit better but still struggling at the moment!

Here's a card I made for my Mum to give my Nan for Christmas:

She loves deers and tartan! (my grandad was 1/2 Scottish)

The topper and papers were mag freebies
WOC - Poinsettias, roses and Holly leaves all with added clear frosting glitter glue
Gems, pearls, ribbon and gold mirror card from my stash

Hope you're all getting on top of  your christmas crafting!

I'm starting to feel a bit deppressed about Christmas now :-(
Another year stuck up here, same 4 dark walls, dim lamp, no visitors, food, tv or music, being tortured by the smell of my family's delicious Christmas Dinner as they all sit together chatting laughing and joking :,-(

But I guess things could always be worse! I have the comfort of my own bed, my family are all happy and healthy and my poor Mum will still be rushing around to get everything I need as she does every day at the ring of my bell bless her heart!

  4. Your Nan will love this card as it fulfils her two loves beautifully. I'm so sad you're depressed at the thought of Christmas. It's rotten that you aren't able to enjoy it too but at least it's only 1or 2 days to get through. Try to craft, if you're up to it, to take your mind off it. Take care, Debra x

  5. This is just gorgeous, Lucy. I love tartan on cards and the proud stag is so symbolic of the Scottish Highlands. Love the stunning pink too and the way you have made the flowers.

  9. Lucy, hope your mood will lift & yes, sometimes the holidays are very hard to get through for folks. Yet you've hit upon some good thoughts to hopefully make it better for you: that your family are there with you, even if you have to stay apart from the festivities because of your health. Hopefully some of the delicious smells will find the way to you in some wonderful foods that you can enjoy. Your card for your Grandmother is lovely. I like the way you've combined that bold tartan plaid with the dp on the bottom of the card. Lovely flower trims and that beautiful deer make this a standout. Your Gran will love it too. TFS & Hugs too. Hope you will feel much better very soon.
