Butterflies + B is for Brads
Hi everyone!
Hope it's been a good week for you!
It's been FAR too long since I fluttered by Mrs A's butterfly challenge which is currently Butterflies + B for brads SO... Mum organises my stash as I'm not mobile, but she's worse than me and loses everything! She dug around for half hour and only found basic gold stationary brads, so I got the nail varnish out again!!
Spent quite a while colouring this butterfly, I hope it shows!
I used:
Butterfly - Little Claire freedom stamp set
Promarkers & flexmarkers
Whimsy ticket sentiment stamp
LOTV papers
Blue - beach bliss
Purple - bonnets and bowties
Spot ribbon - Crafty Ribbons
Aqua blooms - WOC
Woodware butterfly punches & a rounded corner punch
Finished with mint green liquid pearl dots around the circle, and of course the brad in the centre of the flower
I love adding butterflies to cards but It's not often I use a butterfly as the main focus, this ones just for you Mrs A :-) xx
Have a nice weekend everyone!!

Love the soft, feminine feel of the card. Very pretty. Thank you for sharing with us at The Butterfly Challenge. - Myrna Challenge #22 Guest Designer
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Lucy. A glimpse of better weather to come but we have more winter to experience first! There are benefits to being housebound though...more crafting and less umbrella-use.
ReplyDeleteThankyou for the special Butterfly Lucy. You have coloured perfectly and just the colours I like too. Glad your Mum managed to find you some brads and you had nail varnish just the right shade for the backing paper. Excellent thinking outside of the box. Thankyou for fluttering by #22. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card Lucy, love the soft pastel colurs and the butterflies, hugs Kate x

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Lucy, one of my favourite colour combos of all time!! You are quite right about the second snap being of Lyme Bay...clever girl!! We are about 30 minutes drive from Bridport Lucy. I have strong connections to West Bay, Mum and Dad met there. Dad's family owned a static van and Mum was staying with her family on the site. When Nan died, Mum and Dad inherited the caravan (which they "let" for weeks in the summer) so we spent every summer there...happy memories. It's wonderful watching Broadchurch on TV as it seems so familiar!! xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a very pretty card and great job on coloring your butterfly. That is a very clever idea to use nail varnish to change the color of your brad. I hadn't though of that before.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely. Great design with the butterflies, ribbon and flowers. Thanks for playing at Crafty Sentiments and good luck. Hope to see you back tuesday for a new challenge. Bettina GD Member at Crafty Sentiments xx
