Sewing Machine Card, To a Wonderful Mum
Hi Everyone!
Sorry bit of a story coming you don't have to read if you don't want lol....
My mum said a couple months ago her sewing machine she's had for 30 years(!!!) was giving up and she really needed a new one but has no money. So I straight away messaged both my brothers and told them we were buying her a new one!
I had to really go on a guilt trip with them that she does so much for us and always has and has no spare money for the things she needs like we do etc and just about managed to get the ok from them both to all put £100 each in lol
I made this card to give her with the money (she's very fussy and would want to choose one herself) and a couple weeks ago txt her to come up because I'd made her a card lol
I gave her the card with a little message saying thank you from all 3 of us and she was delighted. I then handed her the envelope with '£300 sewing machine fund' written on it and she burst into tears and wouldn't take it, so then I had to give her the whole story about how much she deserved it too lol aren't these lot hard work! Ahaha!
Anyways here's the card:
I made the shape myself from looking at some designs on Google, think it turned out quite well!
I used:
WOC Aqua Blooms
Me to you Sentiment Stamp
Santoro Lace
Hobbycraft heart punch
Charm, button & papers from stash
I inked around the edge of the papers to give it a slight vintage feel and put foam pads under the dial
Hope you're having a nice week! I'm struggling with a migraine at the mo! Not fun! Shouldn't be looking on my phone oopsie lol
